Which Yoco card reader models are compatible with TimeWorks? add
TimeWorks is compatible with the Yoco Neo, Yoco Khumo, and Yoco Pro card readers. All three models support the integrated payment API that allows the POS to send amounts directly to the reader. The Yoco Go and Yoco Classic card readers, which operate as standalone devices without an API, require manual amount entry and are not integrated. If you are unsure which Yoco reader you have, check the model name printed on the underside of the device or contact our support team before setup.
Does the TimeWorks-Yoco integration work offline during load shedding? add
Yoco readers require a cellular or WiFi connection to process card payments, so during complete connectivity outages they cannot process transactions. However, TimeWorks continues recording cash and account sales offline without interruption. When connectivity returns, your POS and Yoco settlement reports will reconcile automatically for the card transactions that were processed before or after the outage. Many businesses configure a mobile data hotspot as a backup connection specifically for card payments during load shedding schedules.
Can I use Yoco and another payment gateway simultaneously with TimeWorks? add
Yes. TimeWorks supports multiple payment gateways active simultaneously, so you can have Yoco for in-person card payments and Ozow for EFT payments at the same terminal. Each gateway has a separate button on the payment screen, and the cashier selects the appropriate one based on the customer's preference. All payment types are consolidated in the daily POS report with separate totals per gateway, making reconciliation against your business bank account straightforward.
